Too Fast

Too Fast
by: Alexia Haynes

Blurb:
Twenty-year-old Savannah enjoys a one-time one-night stand because a real relationship would never fit into her busy schedule. Working two jobs and pursuing her degree takes all of her time. Besides, the guys she has dated haven't been much better than the random barfly.

It's a good thing Luke's body is honed by the long hours of carpentry and construction because he carries the weight of his family on his shoulders. School hasn't been an option for him since he dropped out to make the house payments his mother had failed to make.

Luke finds what he's been longing for in a night with Savannah. She's determined to stop with a one-night stand, but he wants more. Neither can deny the perfection of their passionate interludes, but with such imperfect lives, do they have any chance for a future together? Suddenly they’re falling in love much too fast and the intensity could tear them apart.

My Review:

Oh my Gosh! This book was freaking fantastic. Once I started reading it, I was hooked. I mean hook, line, and sinker. This is a story of 2 young adults forced to grow up too fast. Savannah is a college student focused on getting good grades and working hard enough to pay her way. She has no time for relationships or fun. She needs to stay focused, but she does have needs that require some male attention. Ahem, enter Luke. Luke has no time for school because all he has time for is working and taking care of his teen sister and addicted mom. Luke is forced to be the man of the house and he pays all the bills. He doesn't have time for love or relationships either, but one night with Savannah just isn't enough. This story is heartbreaking at times. His mom is a complete loser and Luke is left picking up the pieces of her destruction and shielding his sister from the wreckage...and there is a lot of it. Just when Savannah and Luke seem like they have a shot, Luke's sister acts out and everything comes crashing down on them.

I just can't say enough good things about this book. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but this is a good, solid 5 star read for me! It kept my attention the entire time. When I had to put it down to take care of business (work, cleaning, cooking, etc) I couldn't stop thinking about it. I couldn't wait to pick it back up!

This is one to not be missed!!
