My Review!

5 Hot Mafia Stars!

This is my 5th Rachel Van Dyken book and my 5th 5 star
review for her. To say I am a huge fan is an understatement.
This series is fan freaking tastic. It is so much like reading
The Sopranos and I friggin love every minute of it. I am
completely smitten with Nixon.

I started this book off with Flo Rida's tune in my head. "You
spin my head right round, right round" because I was like,
why in the hell in Nixon watching Trace with Chase? What?
It didn't take but just a minute to jump right back in. Elect
(book 2) picks right up where book 1 left off. It is fantastic!! I
started this book and could not put it down!

So,..team Chase or Team Nixon? For me, I am Team Nixon.
Reason? Well You have to read this one and you will find out
that there is a certain someone that I think might just be
Chase's one. And I think it is going to be fun as hell to read
about. Nixon is her soul mate, man. You just don't get any
better than that. But, I lurvvvve Chase. I do, I do.
Gah, this series is so good. Just go read it. I don't want to
ruin it!!

Crash Into Me

Crash Into Me
by: Tracy Wolff
Crash Into Me (Shaken Dirty, #1)

Blurb:
Jamison Matthews has lusted after Ryder Montgomery since she was a preteen. But now that Ryder and her brother's band, Shaken Dirty, has made it huge, she's just one of many pining for the brooding lead singer. Too bad Ryder still sees her as a little sister. Not that it matters. Her brother would never allow it, and the last thing Jamison wants is to be another notch on a rock star's bed post. Even if it's Ryder's.

Ryder doesn't deserve happiness. After his fame destroyed his last girlfriend, he swore he'd never fall in love again. So when Jamison, the girl he's been in danger of loving for years, joins the band on the road, he'll do anything to deny the sparks between them--even after one hot night together. But Jamison is determined to show Ryder that he's worthy of love--her love--and that she's all grown up and ready to play.

My Review:

This is Jamison and Ryder's story. I loved this book. I literally started reading it and devoured it whole. I love me a good rockstar book and was so glad this one didn't dissapoint.

Jamison has been crushing on Ryder for forever. She has watched him and her brother's band grow into the successful band they are now and her crush has grown right along with it. Unfortunately, Jamison is the best friend's sister and totally off limits. Ryder seems to have this under control, but Jamison doesn't. I love Jamison. She is so sweet and sassy and always there for Ryder and I love stories that are about a long time crush and the other person finally "gets it". It worked in a big way.

This book reminds me a lot of Olivia Cunning's style and I couldn't be happier. I loved the side stories going on and the angst and drama. This one was great. If you love your rocker, badass boy stories, don't miss this one.

Before We Fall

Before We Fall (Beautifully Broken #3)
by: Courtney Cole
Before We Fall (Beautifully Broken, #3)

Blurb:
Sometimes, one dark moment is all it takes to turn your world black...

For 24-year old Dominic Kinkaide, that moment took place on the night of his high school graduation. One dark incident changed him forever. He's a hardened actor now, famous in the eyes of the world, but tortured in his own. He doesn't care about much of anything, except for losing himself in the roles that he plays.

23-year old Jacey Vincent doesn't realize how much her father's indifference has affected her. She is proof that sometimes it isn't one specific moment that wrecks a person, but rather it's an absence of moments. She's like a bird with a broken wing-strong yet fragile, as she tries to float through life, finding acceptance in the arms of random guys, one after the other... to fill the void that her father left in her.

Until she meets Dominic.

After jaded Dominic and strong-willed Jacey are thrown together, his secret and her issues create a dark and damaged energy that will soon turn their attraction to each other into an explosive storm.

Even though when the clouds have cleared and the dust has settled, both of them are almost obliterated... they've learned a priceless lesson.

Sometimes, before we fall... we fly.

My review:
Wow. This series has got me hooked. If you thought Pax was an asshole, wait until you meet Dom. He is King Asshole. Up until halfway through this book I didn't care for him at all. He was an arrogant womanizer. If you've read the first 2 in this series, you know that this series isn't light hearted. It's based on darkness involving drug addictions, womanizing, dark secrets, etc. Cole has a way to completely consume you once you get started reading and this one was no different. I found myself unable to put this book down until it was over. Even now, I am left reeling and wanting more.

This is just another great read in this series and I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on the next one. Way to go, Courtney Cole. Bravo.
