Play Me

Play Me (Take a Chance #3)
by: Diane Alberts

Blurb:
Even the best-laid plans can go awry.
Single-mom Kiersten Worth knows a bottle of champagne and night of hot, no-strings-attached sex is the perfect solution to her jilted bride blues…and Garrett Kelly, long-time friend and her teenaged son’s sexy basketball coach, is just the stud for the job.
Garrett wants more from the elusive temptress than a casual affair, but he never expects it to come in the form of an unexpected pregnancy. When he proposes an unorthodox solution—move in and raise their baby together—Kiersten has to decide whether to let down her guard and open her heart to the man who secretly loved her for years, or risk losing his tender embrace for good.

Review:
Well, this was an unexpected great read for me. Kiersten thinks she is broken and no longer looking for a relationship, but she has needs that need satisfying. She decides she needs to have one hot night with her long time friends, the hot, sexy Garrett Kelly. What she doesn't expect is that one night to turn into a forever type commitment in the form of a mini Kiersten and Garrett.

Garrett convinces Kiersten they need to move in together and raise the baby and her older son together as a family, even if they aren't together as a couple. This is all suggested with the hopes Garrett can wear down Kiersten and eventually get her to fall since he has been harboring a years long crush on her. I don't want to give too much away, but this was very much an enjoyable read. It was funny, sometimes sappy, and sometimes downright irritating. But, that's a good book right. One that sparks emotions. There were times when Kiersten would get on my nerves and I wanted to scream at her like "what the pluck are you doing?" She just had a hard time admitting her feelings. It was quite comical.

Great read here. Don't hesitate to pick it up and give it a try. I am off now to play some basketball! :)
